GENERAL INFORMATION:

Please arrive on-time and dressed in preparation for temperature fluctuations that may occur in the training room. Coffee and water will be provided. There will be two fifteen minute breaks offered during the day along with a half hour for lunch. Lunch will not be provided. You are welcome to leave the facility for lunch. Please feel free to bring any food items you may require during the training.

CERTIFICATIONS & CONTINUING EDUCATION:

Participants that complete the full 8 hours of YOUTH Mental Health First Aid training will secure a three-year certification. Any time missed beyond 15 minutes must be made up at a future training date in order to complete the training and receive certification.

Certified Chemical Dependency and Prevention Specialists can receive 8 hours of continuing education for completing the full 8 hours of YOUTH Mental Health First Aid. For Chemical Dependency Professionals, the training meets the following Subject Content Area Classifications: C1 (1 hr.); C2 (2.5 hrs.); C4 (2.5 hrs.); C6 (0.5 hrs.) and C7 (1.5 hrs.) For Prevention Professionals, the training meets P2 (8 hrs.).
